Lea Mishell is an independent author, editor, and publisher from St. Louis, Missouri. Although she no longer lives there, St. Louis remains the heart of her storytelling, inspiring the people, neighborhoods, and relationships that shape her fictional world of the Village of Honeycomb.

Writing since the age of sixteen, Lea finally fulfilled a long-standing personal goal when she published her debut novel after rediscovering a “Things to Do by 30” list with one challenge at the very top: Publish a Book. With no story planned, she wrote her first novel, Livin’ Just Enough, in less than three months, launching a career that has continued to evolve ever since.

Her work spans contemporary fiction, romance, and erotica, with a strong focus on emotional honesty, chosen family, community, and ethical non-monogamy. Her flagship SistaGirlz series explores life in the Village of Honeycomb, where transparency, accountability, and unconditional love are woven into every generation. She is also the creator of the Mistress Harding series, which explores ethical non-monogamous relationships through a more sensual lens.

In addition to writing her own books, Lea has contributed to anthologies, edited manuscripts for fellow authors, and founded Scorpion Butterfly Publications, her independent publishing imprint dedicated to bringing authentic, character-driven stories to readers.

Today, Lea is rebuilding and expanding the Honeycomb universe with new novels, companion guides, and exclusive content for readers who believe that families come in many forms and that every story deserves to be told with honesty and compassion.
