Aligning Strategy, Teams, and Execution at Scale
Most product organizations don't fail for lack of ideas — they fail because nobody designed the system connecting strategy to execution. This practitioner's field manual shows product leaders how to align strategy, governance, discovery, and culture at scale, with real cases from Lagos to London to San Francisco.

About the Book
Most product organizations don't fail because their ideas run out or their talent disappears. They fail because the operating system that worked when the company was small informal, oral, fast was never redesigned for the multi-team, multi-market organization it became.
The Product Operating System is a field manual for closing that gap. Drawing on more than a decade building and advising product organizations across four continents from seed-stage fintechs in Lagos to publicly traded SaaS companies in San Francisco, this book gives product leaders a complete system for aligning strategy, governance, discovery, culture, and portfolio management at scale.
This isn't another book about empowered teams or continuous discovery in isolation. It's the connective tissue between them: the decision rights, feedback loops, and cultural norms that determine whether a boardroom strategy actually reaches the engineer writing code and whether a team in Lagos and a team in London can act as one coherent organization.
Built on real case studies spanning fintech, healthtech, NGOs, and enterprise software across Europe, North America, and Africa, with a deliberate focus on the infrastructure, regulatory, and cultural realities of emerging markets that most product management frameworks ignore.
For Heads of Product, VPs, and CPOs who have already mastered the fundamentals and are ready to build the system that makes everything else work.
About the Author
Jerome Nzegbuna is a product and technology leader with deep experience building and scaling digital products across Africa, Europe, and emerging markets worldwide.
He has spent the better part of a decade working at the intersection of product strategy and market volatility — shipping products in environments where the internet drops mid-transaction, currencies devalue overnight, and regulatory frameworks shift without warning. His work spans fintech, e-commerce, and enterprise platforms, with hands-on experience in Lagos, London, Kenya, Uganda and the corridors between established tech hubs and frontier economies.
Jerome's approach to product management is rooted in a simple observation: the playbooks written for Silicon Valley assume conditions that don't exist for most of the world's builders. His frameworks — including the VAS Risk Classification, the Sachet Economy model, and the Resilience Stack — are drawn from real products, real failures, and real markets where constraint is the starting point, not the exception.
He is also the author of Product-Led Engineering: From Output to Outcome, a practitioner's guide to building engineering teams that own product results.
Jerome writes for product managers, founders, and engineers who build for the real world — where resilience matters more than aesthetics, and reliability is the ultimate delight.
