  2. Phone less
    Phone less
How Losing My Phone Unplugged My Life
    Stephen Omote

Phone less: How Losing My Phone Unplugged My Life What happens when your entire life—your calendar, your memories, your contacts, your money—is tied to a single device… and it suddenly disappears? In Phone less, Stephen Omote takes us on a gripping, humorous, and eye-opening journey through a single day that changed everything. One lost phone becomes the trigger for a chain of events that exposes just how deeply we’ve become entangled with our screens—and how unprepared we are to live without them. From missed meetings and lost contacts to unexpected human connections, awkward moments, and divine surprises, this book offers a rare glimpse into the chaos and clarity that come when the digital world suddenly goes dark. Told with raw honesty, gentle wit, and powerful reflections, Phone less is more than a personal story—it’s a wake-up call for anyone who’s ever said, “I can’t live without my phone.”

  5. Minimal Markdown for Authors
    Minimal Markdown for Authors
How to Write and Publish a Book Using Open Source Software
    Chastity White Rose

You may wonder what Markdown is and why I would suggest using it. I have 3 main reasons. - Markdown is easy to write in because it only requires a text editor on any PC. Even plain Windows Notepad can work, but I will be introducing even more advanced tools that let you preview the final result while you are writing. - By using Markdown, you can save money by avoiding the need to use Microsoft Word and remembering what menu options to click to make text bold, italics, or include images or links in your book. You **don't need a word processor** at all unless you need advanced control over formatting. Even then, I will teach you how *Libre Office Writer* can be used, which is entirely Free and open source. For the non-technical reader, Open Source means it can run on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux (I use Debian Linux personally).

  6. Walking the Rainbow Bridge
    Walking the Rainbow Bridge
Creating Conversations for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
    Chastity White Rose

Those of us who are part of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual community have a higher rate of depression and suicide than the average person. There are many reasons for this, which I can identify and explain. The following are a few reasons that this is the case. ## 1. We are lonely The fact that former friends and family turn against us when we come out (or are outed without our consent) results in us being without any support network. If you have no friends, family, or even a life partner, it can often seem like your existence is meaningless, and no one would notice if you vanished, or perhaps they have even told you to die. Many people who commit suicide feel this way, but at least most have parents, a friend, a spouse, or a therapist they can talk to. But too often, this is not the case with some of us who receive hate from humans and are even told that God hates us.
