His father introduced him to the magical world of arcades and gifted him his first console, the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), sparking a lifelong love affair with gaming. Driven by his enthusiasm, Marcel wanted to share this passion with his neighborhood, planting the seeds for what would become Attack Cancel Gaming. In 1999, Marcel 'Cello' Torres founded The Best in New York City Official Tournaments (**BIN**), organizing competitions in the Big Apple. This local tourney would evolve into Attack Cancel Gaming, cementing Marcel’s role as a pivotal figure in the local gaming scene. His journey from an eager young gamer to a community organizer reflects the positive power of video games and the spirit of competition they inspire. He still hosts eSports tournaments more than two decades after his original foray, Marcel plans to hold eSports events for the rest of his game loving life!
