Jari Flink

Engineer (Information and Communication Technology, Data to AI track) with more than 20 years of experience in IT. For over a decade i have worked with industrial robots in the pharmaceutical industry, covering maintenance, upkeep, calibration and programming. This background shapes how i see AI agents: as systems that must work reliably in the real world, where safety has to hold even when everything else fails.

I teach, supervise and design courses on AI agents, sovereign AI and autonomous systems. I am also involved with Kipinä Technologies.

This book grew alongside my thesis, in which i built a local, autonomous multi-agent system on consumer hardware. There was no comparable literature in Finnish, so i wrote it, and i have kept improving it ever since.

Helsinki metropolitan area. In my free time i take part in hackathons, play miniature wargames and code own projects, some of which became case studies in this book.
