  1. Generative and Agentic AI for IT Managers
Generative and Agentic AI for IT Managers
Hype meets reality in large companies
    Wolfgang Keller

LLMs and agentic AI are currently generating a great deal of hype. When applied correctly, they can deliver tremendous benefits. This book outlines the challenges involved in implementing these technologies within large enterprises—particularly in regulated environments. It serves as an accessible introduction for IT-focused executives and enterprise architects, while also proving useful for IT professionals in general who wish to explore the subject and avoid common project pitfalls.

  2. Engineering Confidence
    Engineering Confidence
Lessons from qmail, the 1990s Mail Server with a Security Guarantee and a Cult Following
    Deepak Bhaskaran

Before containers, service meshes, and modern security platforms, qmail showed how much could be achieved with Unix processes, file permissions, queues, and discipline.

  3. Rust In Practice, Third Edition
    Rust In Practice, Third Edition
Concurrency, Memory Safety, GPU Computing, Linux Kernels, and Real-World Systems using Rust 1.85
    GitforGits | Asian Publishing House

This third edition covers Rust 1.85 and the Rust 2024 Edition in full. The new chapters on concurrency, the 2024 edition migration, GPU computing, Go integration, and Linux kernel programming show where the Rust community has moved since the second edition, and where systems programming as a discipline is heading. You might be writing your first Rust function or your hundredth production service, but I hope this book makes the language feel less like a puzzle and more like a tool you are already familiar with. That was the only goal I had when I wrote it.

  4. MySQL 9 Cookbook, Second Edition
    MySQL 9 Cookbook, Second Edition
Practical recipes for installing, securing, optimizing, and scaling MySQL 9 in production
    GitforGits | Asian Publishing House

This book is all about having a deep understanding of every configuration decision, every index design, every backup policy, and every failover drill. All the recipes in this book are for real-life tasks that you'd actually do, with all the exact commands and configurations that work on a production linux server running MySQL.

  5. Nelson Mandela: Design of Destiny

Bypass the sterile cardboard icon of history books to discover the flesh-and-blood strategist who shook the foundations of an empire. Flaps and the Steep Approach Pitch attitude: Flap deployment requires a lower AOA to generate required lift at a given speed and pitch attitude will be lower. No flap landings require a higher pitch attitude. NOTE: pitch attitude does not equal steeper descent angle. See discussion below.Descent angle: Flaps, by themselves DO NOT cause a steeper approach path to clear an obstacle. The descent angle depends on both ground speed AND rate of descent. Low ground speeds and higher rates of descent increase the descent angle. See figure below.Flaps lower the stall speed which allows a slower approach speed which steepens the approach angle. However, if the approach speed is not reduced, neither will the descent angle. Flaps add drag which increases the descent rate for a given power setting and given air speed. The increased descent rate will increase the descent angle for a particular airspeed. However, if too much power or air speed is carried in the approach, there will not be an increase in descent angle. Note: Steeping the approach is accomplished by lowering ground speed. This can be done by slowing the approach or in the case of strong headwinds. More power is required to maintain glide path on an approach into a strong headwind. Maintain air speed with pitch.
