The Shelf is the bookshelf on the Leanpub homepage: a month there puts your book in front of every reader who lands on Leanpub. Each month on The Shelf includes promotion in a weekly and a monthly sale newsletter.
Your months are for any of your published books. How they arrive depends on the term you choose:
- Annual: both months are yours the day you join, to use whenever you want them.
- Quarterly: a quarter's worth at a time, which comes to two months a year.
- Monthly: a month on The Shelf every six months you're a member.

Books die alone. The ones that get finished are the ones somebody else has looked at, so every Book Weekend day ends with Ultra Author office hours: 2:30 pm Pacific, for 60 minutes. That is at least 24 office hours over the next 12 months, with at least 2 per month.
Saturday is a working session that ends with everyone publishing. Sunday is hot seats and Q&A, where we help you debug your book, your launch and your pricing.
Send your questions in advance, and the recording is posted within a day, so you get your answer whether or not the hour suits your time zone. Office hours run on every scheduled Book Weekend day, whether or not anyone booked that weekend.
Anyone holding the plan can come, including on a month of Ultra Author that came with a Book Workshop Pro Ticket or a Book Weekend ticket.

Four 30-minute 1:1 calls a year with Peter or Len: a debugging session for your book, a launch walkthrough, code review for your book, whatever you want the half hour for. One unlocks for each quarter you've paid for: after three monthly payments, with each quarterly payment, and all four at once on the annual term.
You are in Len's priority queue for a LAUNCH video about your book and an interview on the Leanpub Podcast.
Publish on Amazon is a separate service, at $1,499. Members pay $999, from the day your membership starts.
The 1:1 calls come with a paid membership. A Book Weekend ticket's month is a paid month, and counts as your first monthly payment if you go on to Ultra Author monthly before it ends. A month of Ultra Author that came with any other ticket has the AI usage, Leanpub's AI Studio, the office hours and the member prices, and leaves the calls out.

Book Weekend is two days live on Zoom with Peter, and you publish your book in progress on Sunday. The ticket is bought on its own, and it includes one month of Ultra Author.
Publish during your weekend and $300 comes off your first year of a paid Ultra Author membership, when you join within 72 hours of the weekend's end. It applies to your first year only, it comes from publishing during a Book Weekend and nowhere else, and it is never paid out as cash. How it arrives depends on your term:
- Annual: $997 − $300 = $697 for your first year, then $997.
- Quarterly: $75 off each of your first four payments, so $269 a quarter becomes $194, then $269.
- Monthly: $25 off each of your first twelve payments, so $99 a month becomes $74, then $99.
