As a candidate, you have two objectives in an interview:

1. Get hired -- by showing the interviewer what you know, what you're passionate about, what you can learn, and how you can contribute to the company.

2. Find out if it's for you -- is the company and the team a place you want to work? Will you be happy with the people, the management, the technologies, the processes, and the culture?

There are lots of books and articles on the first one, but many people forget to the need to interview "the company" to see if they will enjoy living there. Remember, you'll be there for at least half of your waking hours, so don't you want to enjoy it most of the time?

This booklet will certainly cover some of #1, but will also cover #2, i.e., the questions you should be asking the interviewers and what to look for in their answers.

This isn't about tricks, it's about conversations.
