If you have use System.out.println or previous versions of Apache Log4j: you are welcome to this book. Learn how you use Log4j and even how you can extend it. This book will help you to start with the brandnew Log4j 2 and help you to migrate your old logging code to the new framework.
I am considering to write this book in a lean way: publish a chapter when it is done. If you consider buying this book early you'll get a better price but you'll also have to deal with some spelling errors as I am not a native speaker. The final version of this book will be edited and hopefully almost error free.

About the Author
Christian Grobmeier
Christian sold his first website back in 1998. Since then he worked as a web developer, a consultant, an architect, a manager, a tester, and much more. He has had many different customers: banks, tiny companies, and huge merchants. He has worked in open spaces together with eighty other people and alone in his home office. At a time when he worked seventy-five hours a week and could have become an actor in a Zombie movie without makeup, he started practicing Zen and wrote The Zen Programmer.
Today, Christian is building up his own company and provides freelancer services. In his free time, he practices Zen and studies Psychology at a German university.
Furthermore he is deeply involved in Open Source development. He spends a lot of his time at the Apache Software Foundation and contributes to Apache Log4j. He is the current V.P. Apache Logging Services and simply happy to work so many talented people at the project.
