Qamar Zaman
Qamar Zaman is a Lead Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. He conducts integrated management system audits across different industries. His work involves tracing processes, identifying gaps, and helping organizations move toward real compliance. Not just documentation. Not just certificates on the wall. Actual functioning systems.
He holds a degree in Quality and Performance Management from the Institute of Quality and Technology Management, University of the Punjab. During his studies, he interned at the Standards, Certification and Quality Control Center. That was where he first saw the gap between written procedures and daily operations. The factory floor taught him things the classroom could not.
He wrote Blossoms Over Poison as a personal project. It was not an academic assignment. It was something he needed to write. A story about quality management as it is actually lived. The pressures. The politics. The exhaustion. The small victories. He wanted to create something honest that students and newcomers could read and recognize.
The book draws from the world he knows. Garment production lines. Audit processes. Quality metrics. Broken systems. People trying to do their jobs inside structures that often work against them. It is fiction, but it is built on reality.
