Matias Carrasco
I am a passionate information systems and project management expert with over 15 years of experience in the industry. I studied Systems Analysis at the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (Mendoza) and Information Systems at the Universidad de Congreso (Mendoza).
My professional experience spans a wide range of projects at leading companies in various industries, such as Arauco, Banco de Chile, Walmart, Colmena Golden Cross, and Bice Vida. I began my career as a C / C++ developer in 1998 and later specialized in redundant email servers (Qmail-ldap in Linux). In 2000, I ventured into project management and founded my first company, Silica SA, in Mendoza.
In 2005, I moved to Chile, where I took on leadership roles in the Nectia group as a project manager and director of development and service. Throughout my career, I have earned certifications in PMP®, CSM, PMI-ACP®, SPC®, and PSMI®.
Currently, I lead my own consulting firm and advise globally-minded startups. In addition, I am a coach for predictive and adaptive projects. Since 2011, I have been an official instructor for RMC Project Management courses at IT-Institute Chile, helping 90% of my students achieve certification on their first attempt.
My passion for learning and sharing knowledge has led me to delve into the world of book publishing. Through my writing, I hope to inspire and empower others in the realms of technology and project management, providing practical tools and valuable insights for professional and personal growth.
