Jacques Supcik

Professor in computer science and telecommunications at the "Haute école d'ingénierie et d'architecture Fribourg"

I started to get interested by computer sciences in 1980 when the local supermarket was selling the first Atari 400/800 and Comodore PET/CMB computers. Then I bought a VC-20 and I learned how to program it in assembler. Then I got an Atari ST-1024 and learned how to program it in Pascal. I was really passionated and started my studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich. After 14 years as a system engineer in the Swiss leading telecommunication company, I joined the "Haute école d'ingénierie et d'architecture Fribourg" as a teacher. I am also involved in many organizations that promote Free Software and I teach computer science to teenager kids.
