I am an M. Tech. from IIT Powai with 16 years of experience in Japan. We have developed SemiEnglish.com, zipvc.com and many mobile apps.
I have worked in IT for 2 decades at TCS, Lehman and Citigroup and my own startup. Apart from IT, we teach basic Internet to seniors, programming to engg students and Japanese at our office. We have automated our classes with videos and online exams. These classes are always guided by teachers for personal touch. We have also developed a portal called SemiEnglish.com which hosts many of these videos and online exams.
1988-1992: BE in Electronics and Telecom from Government of college of Engg Amravati
1992-1994: M. Tech. IIT Powai, Electrical department (published a short note in IEEE journal)
1994-1995: TCS Noida, Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board as System Analyst responsible for common modules developed in Sybase.
1995-1998: TCS Japan (seconded to Citibank), I was responsible for Pascal based Bonds and Futures accounting system, I supported a legacy system and then eventually developed a new system in Sybase and Powerbuilder UI.
1998-2001: Lehman Brothers Japan. I was initially responsible for supporting trading system (DEX) used for single stocks, futures and options for Tokyo and Osaka exchanges. I was part of the team that developed a new system called METS (Java, Sybase, TIB for messaging) to replace DEX.
2001-2011: I joined Nikko Saloman Smith Barney in 2001 which had many coorporate restructings and finally was completely owened by Citigroup. I have worked on various teams within Equity IT during my 10 years at Citigroup.
2011-till date: developed 50 plus applications using objective C with my wife Prachi Pimpalkhare (search iTunes for iquestionbanks), coordinated for 50 plus android apps with many partners (search Google Play for 24by7exams), coordinated for 24by7exams.com and SemiEnglish.com educational web portal.
