I'm Deepak Bhaskaran. I write about site reliability engineering, security, software architecture, strategy, leadership, and the craft of building software that works when it matters most. My day job is in Engineering, where I'm responsible for reliability and security of a SaaS service that handles billions of requests a month.

Throughout my career, I've realized that the most impactful solutions live at the intersection of technical excellence, security thinking, and organizational acumen. A perfectly architected system fails without good leadership. A strong team stumbles without understanding strategy. A secure infrastructure collapses if people don't understand the "why.". I think about these three a lot, and this is my first attempt to write about these as a solo author.
