The responsibility loop

The core claim of this book is simple yet uncomfortable:

Without a responsibility loop

there is no evaluative standard,

and without an evaluative standard

there is no “optimization” —

only blind intervention.

“Optimal” is not a license to act;

it is an obligation to return

when consequences show you were wrong.
