About the Book
On her last shift at a failing Nova Scotia boatyard, Mara Bell is asked to sign a form confirming that a launch is empty. The berth is empty instead. The security screen says otherwise.
In the old footage behind that impossible picture, Mara recognises the handmade first-aid box her brother carried on the day he died. For two years, Morrow Harbour has had a story about Ben Bell. Finding out who was with him means confronting the people who kept it simple—and the version of her brother she has needed to believe.
A complete coastal mystery novella of approximately 17,000 words, told in ten chapters. Set in a fictional Nova Scotia harbour, this is a story of grief, divided loyalties, and the cost of correcting a comforting account of the past.
