When he learned of Anitha's death and the injustice behind it — a bright student turned away from the medicine she was more than capable of studying — he could not let it rest as one more headline. It became a question he had to answer: what if the same work he had done for engineers could be done for doctors? Out of that came the vision behind this book — to build a generation of Tamil-speaking doctors, one student at a time.
