The Earth that learned to reach Mars is no longer a world capable of saving everyone. Thirty years beyond the present, a multinational expedition lands on a red planet inhabited by an intelligent medieval civilization. Its weapons are familiar—rifles, armor, helicopters, drones, and robots—but its greatest enemies are distance, supply, disease, and the machinery of its own decisions.

The Invasion of Mars reverses H. G. Wells's The War of the Worlds and tells every episode from the invaders' side. Readers can follow it as a military science-fiction novel without knowing the original; those who do will recognize reversed echoes of the Thunder Child, the artilleryman, the dying invaders, and the final cry.

Part II then opens the workshop. It shows how a short premise was expanded into a thirty-chapter novel with AI, how worldbuilding and character continuity were controlled from the top down, and how adversarial reviews caught military, stylistic, visual, and thematic drift.
