Part memoir, part artistic manifesto, part backstage conspiracy against certainty, I Don’t Know Yet - Yet I Dance dives into the strange mechanics of creativity, embodiment, and the deeply uncomfortable art of not knowing what you’re doing yet. And continuing anyway.
Written by a professional dancer and teacher, the book unfolds like a performance itself: before the curtain rises, inside the rehearsal chaos, behind the stage lights, and within the invisible architecture where movement is born long before the body moves.
Through stories, science, and the clumsy humour of the floor, the book explores proprioception, the body's internal GPS, rhythm as remedy, and the ancient iatric mind that heals through movement. And why creativity, so often, works best when we finally stop trying to control it.
It traces a lateral path through imagined conversations with artists and world-builders and features honest reflections from five extraordinary women whose voices both mirror and challenge the author's own.
This is a book about intuition, collective rhythm, and artistic survival. An invitation to trust the strange intelligence of the body. And then to set the stage on fire.

About the Author
Camilla Lombardi
Camilla Lombardi is a dancer, choreographer, and educator specializing in Egyptian folklore and Oriental dance. For more than twenty years, she has taught and performed throughout Scandinavia, Italy, and Egypt, exploring the intersection of embodied knowledge, improvisation, and the creative process.
Her academic work includes a thesis on tarantism and the healing function of dance. Her teaching and artistic practice are rooted in the belief that creativity is not a gift but a practice—something we return to again and again.
Drawing on decades of artistic experience, teaching, and research, this book brings together the ideas and methods that have shaped her work, offering a practical exploration of how creativity can be cultivated from the inside out.
I Don't Know Yet—Still I Dance is her first book.
