About the Book
A little fable about a heron who decided to wander to the sea.
Photos and text by L. Lee McIntyre
Inspired by a true story. Well, at least, it was inspired by seeing a heron who appeared unexpectedly on a Florida beach one day, a heron who really did appear to learn a lesson from his encounter with a tortoise.
Illustrated with 27 color photos taken at Indialantic Beach, Florida, U.S.A. and along the Talvera River, Bolzano, Italy.
