About the Book

In Engineering on Purpose, you will learn that you are no longer just creating drawings or writing code; you are architecting predictability, safety, and high reliability as you navigate systems development. This book helps you make the transition from a general software or systems engineer to a mission-critical systems engineer, which requires a fundamental shift in mindset.

Engineering on Purpose is designed for junior- to midlevel engineers; this practical guide strips away dense academic theory to focus on real-world application in an informative and entertaining way. You will dive into architectural patterns, with each chapter delivering actionable methodologies to help you become a self-sufficient systems architect.
