The Russian Premier has been assassinated and his daughter Adreana  has disappeared.  Micholae Anglochev, a Soviet Fundalmentalist, is about to become the next leader of Russia.  Halfway around the world, Alex receives a mysterious email.  As the Secretary of State John Stienbridge tries to get the president caught up on Anghlochev, more disturbing information comes out about his past.  Meanwhile, Alex gets a visit from a friend he had  once fell in love with, Adreana.  She has information about a plot to assassinate the President of the United States so the vice president who is also a Socialist can begin negotiations on a joint Soviet government.  As they race from New York to DC with Alex's friend the two find their flame is still burning.  Can they get to DC in time even with the help of a mysterious benefactor?
