Bates and Jairo, guns-for-hire and partners in crime, have been hired to complete an impossible task: Kill an Immortal. Their bullets cannot harm the Grey Preacher, but, they discover the secret of a Weapon of Legend: a pistol known as Gram, that can sever any soul from the mortal coil.
So, with the promise of gold in their hearts, they journey across the Deadman's Waste. Both men dream of the possibilities of redeeming their pasts. For Jairo, the money can buy information on the whereabouts of his missing sister. With Gram, Bates could return home and kill the Sorcerer who banished him to these wastelands.
But, money and power divides the two friends. And when their employer, a being of eldrich life herself, begins making side deals, the two men will be forced into a final showdown. Pistols will bark, and blood shall flow to stain the desert sands
