Ο Γιώργος Βελλιανίτης είναι μια ξεχωριστή προσωπικότητα της ποίησης. Κατάγεται από τους Παξούς, γεννηθείς το 1945 και διαμένει στον Πειραιά. Στα ποιήματά του παρατηρούμε ιδιαίτερο ύφος και ήθος. Γράφει κατά κύριο λόγο έμμετρη ποίηση την οποία θεωρεί καθαρά Ελληνική, πηγάζουσα από την εποχή του Ομήρου. Τα κείμενά του, καλύπτουν όλο το φάσμα της θεματολογίας, γραμμένα σε απλή, κατανοητή σε όλους γλώσσα. Απευθύνουν μηνύματα προς τον απανταχού Ελληνισμό και την Κοινωνία, καυτηριάζοντας τα στραβά της καθημερινότητας, με διάχυτο χιούμορ. Όπως ισχυρίζεται, με τα κείμενά του προσπαθεί να αφυπνίσει τους Έλληνες, ώστε να αποφεύγουν τα κακώς κείμενα και να προσπαθούν να γίνουν κοινωνικά καλύτεροι. Επίσης διαβεβαιώνει, ότι ο ίδιος επινόησε την άγνωστη ως τότε Ευχή ΚΑΛΗ ΔΥΝΑΜΗ για να τους εμψυχώσει, χρησιμοποιώντας την για πρώτη φορά στις ευχές Χριστουγέννων του 2003, στέλνοντας τις ευχές του μέσω e - mail. Έκτοτε εξαπλώθηκε από χείλη σε χείλη. Αρκετά από τα έργα του έχουν βραβευθεί σε Πανελλήνιους και Διεθνείς Διαγωνισμούς, έχοντας αποσπάσει κατά καιρούς τα καλύτερα σχόλια.
