Vibecoding techno future

At first they thought it was his heart. Forty-four, brutal hours, an industry that doesn't sleep.

Then a recruiter named Yaryna Hnatiuk opened her four-thousand-row spreadsheet, applied one filter — writes code himself, by hand — and found eleven names.

Of the three thousand seven hundred who generate everything, not one had died.

About the Book

97% A techno-horror. A short novel.

Danylo Kovach is twenty-seven, and he has just closed a sprint nobody has ever closed: two hundred and eighty thousand lines, forty-one services, eleven weeks — and not one line written by hand.

Three percent remain. One file, two hundred and thirty lines, and a hole in the middle that no model on earth can fill. Because the seam between generated code and a working system isn't text. It's a compressed map of cause and consequence inside the head of someone who has spent twenty years making mistakes daily and watching what came of them.

That is in no dataset.

But it is in people. And it can be taken.

Yaryna Hnatiuk is a technical recruiter and a former QA engineer who has spent three years keeping a private spreadsheet with one column no ATS has: how a person thinks. One Thursday she applies the filter writes it himself — and finds eleven obituaries. Of the ones who generate everything, none have died.

Her spreadsheet isn't a hiring funnel.

It's a menu. And for three years she has been the supplier.

97% is a techno-horror for people who read diffs. There are no monsters here, no portals, and no happy ending. There is a profession that has just stopped being safe, and one very simple rule: understanding is the attack channel.

Those who wrote code by hand die. Those who only read it don't wake up. Those who never looked too closely at anything will make it to the last page. Nobody else will.

Length: ~50 pages, 15 chapters, three parts. One evening's reading. Sleeping afterwards is a separate question.

Hey I am Volodymyr

Seasoned Developer's Journey from COBOL to Web 3.0, SSI, Privacy First Edge AI, and Beyond

As a seasoned developer with over 20 years of experience, I have worked with various programming languages, including some that are considered "dead," such as COBOL and Smalltalk. However, my passion for innovation and embracing cutting-edge technology has led me to focus on the emerging fields of Web 5.0, Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI),AI Agents, Knowledge Graphs, Agentiic memory systems, and the architecture of a decentralized world that empowers data democratization.

A firm believer in the potential of agent systems and the concept of a "soft" internet, I am dedicated to exploring and promoting these transformative ideas. In addition to writing, I also enjoy sharing my knowledge and insights through videoblogging. Most of my Medium posts serve as supplementary content to the videos on my YouTube channel, which you can explore here: https://www.youtube.com/c/VolodymyrPavlyshyn.

Join me on this exciting journey as we delve into the future of technology and the possibilities it holds.
