With over 15 years of experience in AI, I began my career in 2009 as an Electronics and Communications Engineer. Since then, I have combined my technical expertise with policy and risk management, specialising in computer vision, AI governance, and AI safety. My academic achievements include a PhD in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Yıldız Technical University, a Master’s degree in Economics and FinTech from Bahçeşehir University, and professional certifications from U.C. Berkeley in AI Strategy and 42001 AI Governance System Lead Auditor. In addition, I have had the opportunity to participate in fellowships with organisations such as BlueDot Impact and Future Impact Group, contributing to significant projects focused on AI safety, AI governance, and AI economic design. I received UK Exceptional Global Talent status as an AI Expert in 2026.

My professional experience spans academia, public policy, and the private sector. I have conducted research and taught at numerous universities in Türkiye, including Bahçeşehir University. I have been publishing online courses in AI, education, and mentoring for almost 10 years, reaching over 80,000 students worldwide. I have also provided consultancy to the sector, particularly for startups and EU-funded projects. From 2019 to 2025, I served as an AI Expert at the Digital Transformation Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkiye. There, I contributed to Türkiye’s National AI Strategy and managed the internationally recognised Public Sector Data Sapce project. I also contributed to the “Ready, Go, AI: AI Readiness in Emerging Markets” report presented at the 2025 World Economic Forum Davos Summit, and collaborated with organisations such as the OECD, G20, EU, NATO, and the UN.

Currently, as the founder of HUX AI in the UK, we focus on operationalising AI governance and risk management for companies and organisations. We also contribute to capacity-building in responsible AI governance by offering research internship programs. I have been contributing to the AI ecosystem through speaking engagements, mentoring, training programmes, writing and advisory work.
