As climate pressures, supply chain demands, and financial exclusion continue to challenge smallholder farmers worldwide, reliable agricultural data has become essential for improving productivity and unlocking access to capital. DigiFarm addresses this challenge by integrating satellite imagery, artificial intelligence, and blockchain-based verification to generate trusted insights about farmland activity and crop conditions.

This in-depth case study examines how DigiFarm leverages advanced remote sensing technologies alongside Cardano infrastructure to create a transparent data layer for agricultural ecosystems. It explores the project’s development through Project Catalyst funding, its technical architecture for monitoring farmland activity, and its potential to support sustainable agriculture, traceability, and financial inclusion.
