Cloud skills are difficult to learn from step-by-step labs alone. Real operations require people to inspect an unfamiliar environment, decide what matters, make a safe change, and confirm the result.

This book shows how to turn those actions into a playable, automatically scored cloud competition. You will create a free local Docker Challenge, an AWS Challenge based on discovering and submitting a flag, and an AWS Battle with endpoint registration, continuous scoring, red-team fault injection, manual recovery, and automatic revert.

The implementation uses the open-source TenkaCloud platform and TenkaCloudChallenge catalog. You will also learn cross-account AWS access, IAM boundaries, multi-team deployment with TenkaCloud Lite, rehearsal, event-day operations, cost awareness, and complete cleanup. By the end, you will have a repeatable process for designing, implementing, running, and improving your own cloud competition.
