This book will show you how to code your own website analytics software so you don't have to pay for Google Analytics, Kissmetrics, etc. Whether you're a solo hacker or a dev at a startup, I think owning every part of your site's analytics has some value:

Privacy. The only people that will have access to your analytics should be you/your company.
Completely customizable. The book covers how to capture/understand essential metrics such as page views and user actions, but you are free to create your own custom analytics. If there is interest I can do something on setting up easy AB tests and customer segmentation.
Scalable. You can add as many projects as you want to your analytics dashboard and it won't cost you any more than just having a single project.

Upon completion, you should have a fully-fledged analytics database, dashboard, and functions to use in the sites you want to monitor!
