Finishing your studies brings questions no one can answer for you: how to find your first job, what to learn next, who to spend time with, and how to build a life you find worthwhile. This book brings together twelve rules I have shared with students at schools and universities, alongside experiences, reading and illustrations. We explore independence, responsibility, relationships, work and money. I want to help you think for yourself and take practical steps from where you are now.
The starting point is my own ideas, original writing and classes. I used artificial intelligence to complement and review the work, and commissioned AI-generated infographics that I reviewed.

I am Roberto Canales Mora. I have taught at universities and business schools and written about technology, management and learning. This book brings together ideas I have explored with students facing the question of what to do after their studies. In 2026 I completed a university master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence. I continue to study and work with AI and am involved in education and training ventures.
