A blind race

Google and Brin believe that speed and noise are the most important things. They are ready to rush headlong because that's what all the competitors are doing. But where are they going? They can't see the finish line. They are just running to overtake their neighbor in the lane. It's a blind race. A stadium where no one knows where the exit is.

The American model (archaeofascism) works exactly like this: energy is spent not on creation, but on leadership at any cost. Even if the leadership is ephemeral. Even if you're running in the wrong direction.

And here's the brilliant irony: it's this meaningless race, this fierce competitive struggle, that does the dirty work.

No one in their right mind would spend billions to:

Rewrite 25-year-old legacy code.

Build data centers around the world.

Accelerate LLMs to terabytes of context.

Teach AI to see, hear, and speak.

And Google is spending. Because they have to. Because otherwise, their competitors will eat them up. And in this meaningless race, they are clearing the ground, the foundation on which we will build a semantic atmosphere.
