Zoran Bošnjak

Zoran Bošnjak is a software architect with over twenty years of professional battle scars. His career has taken him from the nimble world of startups and agencies to his current role in a major Croatian corporation, with a fair share of transatlantic freelancing in between.

Like many of his generation, Zoran’s obsession began with the tactile clatter of a Commodore 64 and an Atari 2600. Since then, he has navigated the shifting tides of the industry—from the golden era of Borland Delphi 2.0 (his personal "happy place") to the modern frontiers of cloud migrations and AI-assisted coding. He has a particular fondness for "lost" technologies; he mentions Silverlight not out of shame, but out of a sense of historical duty.

When he isn’t wrestling with legacy systems or documenting the absurdities of computing history, Zoran is usually found hiking the trails of the Croatian countryside. He is accompanied by Lola, a golden retriever who remains remarkably unimpressed by his theories on the Von Neumann bottleneck.

He lives in Rijeka, Croatia, and has no intention of leaving. He is a man of principle—a fact best evidenced by his decision to close his LinkedIn account permanently. He prefers a good pint of beer over a networking event, and a space documentary over a corporate seminar.

If you wish to reach him (and he genuinely hopes you do), you can find him at jasamzoran.com. If you happen to be on a trail in the mountains and see a man with a dog and a thoughtful expression, it’s probably him. Stop and say hello—he likely has a strong opinion on a forgotten programming language he’d love to share.
