I began exploring the Backcountry of Arizona around 1988, primarily on foot then later on bicycle. After moving to Flagstaff in 2000, I became fascinated with splitboarding, and winter adventures in and around the Kachina Peaks Wilderness. 

I'm always dreaming and scheming new adventures in our mountains above my home in Flagstaff, Arizona. Because of the mountain's endless beauty and inspiration, I sometimes stay for a few days.  I average about 50 backcountry days each winter and spring, have level II avalanche training, and hold a board of directors position with the Kachina Peaks Avalanche Center (KPAC).  I team with other KPAC members to help produce the weekly snowpack summary and assist with educational events.
