Danny is a long time professional software engineer and hobbyist programmer. In the eighties he battled with BASIC on the Commodore 64. In the nineties he received an official education in software engineering, resulting in a bachelor degree. In this century he worked for many clients as a software engineering consultant, mainly developing Java software.

Years ago, when considering making a Java to JavaScript translator, he found the JavaParser project, by then already unmaintained. He opened it up by putting it on GitHub and applying all suggested patches. Lately he has started to work on polishing the library and is adding new features to it.
