Guy Hickling
Guy Hickling is an experienced accessibility consultant with particular knowledge of ADA and WCAG compliance. After 15 years as a web designer and developer, he specialised in web accessibility in 2015, and has been deeply involved in that field ever since.
He worked for one of the largest accessibility consultancies, auditing websites and apps in the US, UK, Europe and the Far East. He has audited the websites of, and provided consultancy and guidance for, two US legal firms, two UK global banks, a travel airline, a US shoe retailer, a UK telecoms company, and many other companies and organisations large and small on both sides of the Atlantic. He is now an independent accessibility consultant and writer on accessibility matters.
In 2017 and 2018 he shared in the work on the WCAG 2.1, the new update to the WCAG released in June 2018. You can also see his participation in the accessibility forum discussions on WebAIM, and the IAAP (International Association of Accessibility Professionals). He frequently writes on accessibility matters, and has now written this e-book to help all involved in making their websites and apps available to, and usable by, disabled people everywhere.
