In this book you will learn how to write games for the iOS platform using Joybox and the Ruby programming language. The book starts off with an introduction to the core concepts of the Joybox library and you dive right into creating a Pong remake. By the end of the first game you will have learnt about scenes, layers, sprites and collision detection. In the next chapters we begin creating a side scrolling platform game, covering tile maps, animation, physics, particles, sound and publishing your finished game. By the end you will have 2 fully working games and a great foundation to start creating your own.
