About the Book
A day by day, step by step, plan to get you hired in 6 months as a web developer.
Why was this book made?
- This book was made so you can teach yourself to code and get hired in 6 months without all the guess work.
- I have eliminated the guess work for you by giving you a daily plan to follow. It's the exact steps I took over my own six month journey.
How did we get to this point?
- My college degree is in education.
- I was a teacher for 2 and a half years in inner city Cleveland after graduating college.
- While teaching, I had the good fortune to help teach a STEM class for middle school students, where I (at age 26), along with my students, wrote our first line of code.
- Not sure what the whole coding thing was, but I knew then that I loved it.
- I. WAS. HOOKED.
- And NOT about to drop $20,000 on a coding bootcamp. So what to do?
- With some planning and a vision in mind, I quit my job right before Christmas break in 2018, and on January 4th, 2019 I began this journey. I worked with determination “and the threat of running out of savings” on the daily to make this dream happen.
- I am a self taught, now working as a full-time, full-stack Developer.
- I took a large gamble on myself by quitting my job to learn web development, but it paid off. I am now happier, and mentally in a better place than I was when teaching.
- All I can say is, it was totally worth it.
