The Colts and the Bears each look good going into this Sunday's matchup. Each team has a familiar, tested quarterback that has his own strengths. This season, Philip Rivers is completing 78% of his passes while Nick Foles is only completely 55% of his passes. Despite the difference in pass completion, and the fact that Rivers is heating up since the Colts' only loss this season, the Bears' offense should be taken seriously.

The Colts head coach Frank Reich knows Foles from their time together with the Eagles. He only had good things to say about the Bears'quarterback. In fact, he mentioned that Foles is unflappable under pressure and an extreme talent, indicating the Colts would have their hands full trying to slow him down.

The Chicago Bears have made the quarterback change to Nick Foles, a move that was expected throughout the NFL since before training camp began.

Now they need some consistency to avoid situations like what they’ve experienced in the first three weeks of the season.

Bears coach Matt Nagy on Monday announced Foles would replace Mitchell Trubisky as the starting quarterback when they play the Indianapolis Colts. And with the change, the Bears are hoping to avoid more slow offensive starts.

“That said, our resiliency and our perseverance with these players, the high-character guys who we have, there is something special about this group,” Nagy said. “I don’t know what it is, but there is something special about this team and I love it. I’m proud of them.”

The Bears fell behind 23-6 against the Detroit Lions in the season opener before rallying in the fourth quarter to win. They trailed Atlanta 26-10 in the fourth quarter Sunday before their 30-26 victory to go 3-0 on the season for the first time since 2013.

The offense has been hit or miss, which led to Trubisky’s benching more than anything else.

“We were lacking a little bit of a rhythm,” Nagy said. “There wasn’t a lot of energy. There was just something missing a little bit.”

Two wins after trailing by 16 points or more in the fourth quarter of each game had never been achieved by an NFL team in the same season, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

The Bears had a wild swing the other way in their other game, a 17-13 victory over the New York Giants in which they led 17-0 and held on at the end.

“Hopefully in the future, we don’t have to dig ourselves out of any holes, but at the same time, again, I mean, that’s why you play four quarters and that just goes to show you that we have a very resilient team,” wide receiver Allen Robinson said.

Now that Foles is at quarterback, they’re hoping to settle into more consistency. For Foles, everything is becoming more familiar — and it helps.

“I felt good out there,” Foles said. “Not perfect, but I felt good. As I’ve been here since training camp, I’ve gotten to know my teammates more.”
