Years ago, I wrote this book to teach my son the basics of programming. It may have helped spark an interest that continues to this day!

What is it all about?

This book teaches kids between 10 and 17 years old the basics of programming. You need a Mac computer to follow along with the examples. The examples use Terminal, nano, Ruby and irb. (Yes, I'm serious!) The Community Edition is the first 6 chapters of the book.

What you'll learn

This is the first 6 chapters of the book! You learn the basics of the command line, the interactive Ruby shell called irb, functions and programs.
