I was born in 1966 in Yorkshire. I grew up in a small village where we we pretty much ran wild:Tree houses, wet labradors, Mars Bars, Action Man, Evil Kneival, Thunderbirds Air Rifles, chickens, you get the idea. Sadly at 11 my Dad died. Happily my Grandparents came to live with us and Monty Watts my Grand Father took me under his wing.

He taught me about the river, what lived in the hedgerow, how not to get tired beagling (stand on top of a hill) but above all a bone deep love of the country.

I now live in a corner of Northumberland under some ancient beech trees with my beautiful wife, small boys, Dexter cows, wet labradors, tree houses Mars Bars.. you get the picture.
