About the Book
Many organisations are implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and the global expenditure to implement ERP systems is relatively high. Hence, the growing of ERP market and the evidence of increased number of ERP implementations in public and private sectors organisations make it significant to understand the major concerns and the critical factors for successful ERP implementation. The purpose of this study was to identify a number of issues related to ERP implementations within public and private sectors organisations. These are the benefits behind implementing ERP systems, different opinions and perceptions regarding the implementation process and the implementation benefits, the extent to which ERP implementation critical success factors were addressed during project implementation, and additional critical success factors that may apply in public sector organisations.
About the Author
Ahmad A. Rabaa’i is an Associate Professor of Information Systems. He has published over 45 peer-reviewed articles in conferences and journals including Asia Pacific Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Computers and Information Sciences, International Journal of Business Information Systems, International Journal of Intercultural Information Management, International Journal of Information Systems and Management, and leading international conferences such as AMCIS, PACIS and ACIS. He has research interests in service quality and service management, IS adoption, success and impact, cultural studies and technology, e-government, social media, educational quality assurance, programmatic accreditation and research methods.
