About the Book
With a title inspired by Robert Frost's The Secret Sits, this book is a journey narrative. If you've read my other book, Global Moves, you'll already be familiar with the academic content of my PhD. But naturally, obtaining the PhD involved myriad hijinks and adventures. While I was traveling around doing research I also wrote a great deal about things that weren't part of my PhD--life, love, a sinking houseboat in the Nile. In this book there are tales from London and the southwest of England, from Cairo and Luxor, and from various ports of call in the USA. For those who want to skip all the research and get right to the travel stories, this is for you.

Caitlin is an award-winning researcher, an artist whose work has been featured in several digital art exhibitions, a strategest with a history of publications in digital ethics and the future of work, and currently working with the University of Edinburgh's Creative Informatics R&D partnership to help the arts, design and cultural sectors innovate by leveraging the power of data and technology.
