Texans has not released a depth chart for the game. The Chicago Texans are expected to start either D’Wan Mathis or J.T. Daniels at quarterback. Texans should have its sights on a potential national championship season in 2020. Former Wake Forest quarterback Jamie Newman transferred to the Chicago Texans this offseason but a few weeks ago, he opted out of the 2020 campaign. It’s been assumed USC transfer JT Daniels would take over the starting job, but he’s being listed as a game-time decision for Texans’s opener. He has been cleared to practice but not to play as he recovers from a torn ACL.

Vikings is bringing in first-year head coach Sam Pittman, who has primarily been an offensive line coach the past two decades. He was with Texans the four previous years coming into 2020. The Vikings are in the midst of a 19-game losing stream against SEC opponents, which is why they decided to fire Chad Morris following a pair of 2-10 seasons. Former Florida Gators QB Feleipe Franks is expected to be the starter in this rebuilding season.
