About the Book
A book for Quotes? There are several quotes available on the net. Isn’t it?
Yes, there are. But tell me, how many times did you search and got the one you needed? Here is a set of quotes focused on one topic, TOC. And there are over 200 quotes!
Isn’t it easy for you to access when they are available together?
OK. How do I use this eBook on TOC Quotes?
Use some of these quotes in your presentations or training material to convey your points effectively. Or, read these quotes to refresh your memory about your TOC learnings. Or, read say 3-4 quotes every day and think about the one that lingers in your mind.
Well, all the quotes here are not very serious ones. Some of the quotes are a bit funny and will bring a smile on your face. They will keep you in good humor while conveying a serious point.
And if you are new to TOC, you may have some surprises!
How would you describe this eBook?
What this eBook really provides is the ‘Tip of the Iceberg’!
An iceberg means a large floating mass of ice, detached from a glacier and carried out to sea. The greater part of the iceberg is hidden under the water, so the part you see is much smaller than the part you don't see.
Tip of the iceberg is a hint or revelation of something larger, rather much larger. It means “There is a lot more than meets the eye" or "There is a much bigger story".
You are knowledgeable on TOC. If you read a quote (which is the tip of the iceberg), it will trigger relevant thoughts in your mind and it will be like reading an entire chapter or even a book in few seconds! These one-liners will really provide a summary of the relevant TOC knowledge!
Lots of TOC knowledge is stored in some tiny cells in your brain. These quotes will help you to bring them back in your active memory. Thus, you will see the entire iceberg underneath the quote!
The name of the eBook is “TOC Quotes & More”. What is “More” in it?
There are many thought leaders and I found what they said is very consistent with TOC thinking. So, I have added all those.
So, go ahead and enjoy the quotes. Some of them will linger in your mind, get them in your DNA. Some of them will provoke thinking about your current situation, so, go for deep thinking. And of course, some of the funny quotes will bring smile on your face, so, wear that smile, believe me, it is highly contagious!
About the Author
I am a TOC consultant. I teach and implement TOC. I have been studying and trying TOC over a decade.
I am an ardent fan of ToC. For past few years, reading about TOC has moved me from “I am impressed” to “I like it” to “I want to know more…”. I did not realize when it became a passion for me. Now, I eat, sleep, walk and breath TOC.
By sheer accident, I came across the famous book “The Goal” and that changed my life. I went on reading Goldratt’s next book “Its not luck” and thereafter I read all his books. Fortunately, Internet is a great source of information and it opened up the wealth of knowledge for me.
As I did more and more research on TOC, I felt the need for crystallizing and documenting the knowledge that I gained. I created my own training material and conducted a two-day workshop on TOC in my company. Thanks to Internet, I kept on enriching my Training material.
Apart from my own consulting, I had the opportunity to work on a large TOC implementation called "Viable Vision". The project was implemented by Goldratt Consulting.
As a part of the project, I had undergone training from various experts from Goldratt Schools such as Oded Cohen, Mickey Granot, Philip Wiljoen, Eli Schragenheim, Humberto Baptista, Kiran Kothekar and Martin Powell.
Apart from the training and on the job experience, study of Goldratt’s webcast, Strategy & Tactics Trees, TOC Insights, TOC Simulators (GSIM, MICSS, PM SIM, and Distribution), TOC Games and TOC SLPs have helped me to enrich his TOC related knowledge.
My passion for learning, experimenting, sharing knowledge and achieving results continues...
