About the Book
It's inevitable that our companies will evolve and change as we strive to build a successful long-lasting company. Many sprint into hypergrowth with a focus on hiring. Some get to a point where they need to shift and undergo tectonic change, reorganization, and layoffs. We are asked to "move on" and "look towards the future". And we must, but it isn't always easy or instant for the leaders nor for the people on the ground doing the work who may in fact need more "time to adapt." This book is a guide for leaders working with teams who are forced to grapple with this paradox so that they can lead with empathy at a practical speed.

Heidi Helfand is author of the book Dynamic Reteaming. She’s passionate about helping companies build great products and high-performing teams, and she’s particularly interested in the people side of engineering. With over 20 years of experience in the tech industry, including roles at AppFolio, Procore and Expertcity/GoToMeeting, Heidi has gained a deep understanding of how to help organizations successfully navigate change and scale their teams. She lives in Southern California, where she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the outdoors.
