Kevin Meyer has over thirty years of operations, engineering, and executive leadership experience in a variety of industries including medical devices, photonics and telecom equipment, and consumer lighting. 

Kevin is currently the principle of Kanso Strategies LLC, which has provided lean-related consulting services to niche venture capital and private equity groups for over ten years.  He is also a partner in Gemba Academy LLC, which provides online lean and six sigma training to over 2,000 companies worldwide.  Kevin sits on the boards of directors and advisors for three technology companies as well as regional business advocacy consortiums, and is an active member of local angel investment groups.

For nearly a decade Kevin was President of Specialty Silicone Fabricators, a contract manufacturer of high precision silicone components for the global medical device industry with multiple facilities in the United States. Previously Kevin held engineering and operations management positions at Newport Corporation, Abbott Laboratories, and Sylvania.

Kevin is passionate about the power and potential of lean manufacturing methods to transform businesses.  As such he has served on the board of directors of The Association for Manufacturing Excellence, consults, speaks, and writes on the subject.  He guest lectures for operations management classes at CalPoly and Rensselaer.

Kevin has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and resides in Morro Bay, California.
