About the Book
You may have noticed that in towns across the United Kingdom a few old buildings have odd metal letter boxes built into their outside walls. These letter boxes were once used by the customers of banks to deposit money in the middle of the night.
Over time these old banks branches became book shops, ice cream stores, or restaurants, and it was assumed that nobody used these iron holes in the wall anymore. Who needs a night safe in world of credit cards and PayPal?
But for the children and adults who suffer from nightmares, night safes have helped lock away their worst dreams while they sleep.
That is until one summer in Porthhunros Cornwall when two dreams safely locked away become terrifying nightmares for thirteen year-old Sebastian Holborn and his father David. The next day Sebastian asks his cousin Agnes Penjolly, a fourteen year-old amateur sleuth who lives in the village to investigate. When Agnes is told about a strange visitor at the local bookstore the night before she is convinced something more sinister is afoot, and she turns detective to solve the terrifying mystery of The Night Safe.
