CHUAN, adding that there were two other CHUAN besides them. This raises the theory that much of the 82 chapters are made up of Sun Tzu's other writings - we should call them apocryphal - similar to the Wenta, in which a copy of the nine chapters has been preserved. Samples of this situation [15] are in "Tongtian" and also in He Shan's comments. It is speculated that Sun Tzu only wrote thirteen chapters before interviewing Ho Lu, but later composed an exegesis in the form of a question and answer session between him and the king. Bi Yixun, the author of "Sun Tzu Xu Lu", quoted a passage from "Wu Yue Chun Qiu" to support this point: "The king of Wu called Sun Tzu and asked him about the art of war. Every time he expounded a chapter of his work, the king could not find the words.
