The Manager's Manual
The Manager's Manual
A practical guide for Engineering Management
About the Book
In 2018 Keyvan returns to Spain to be part of Cabify as Head of Engineering after spending six years in London, his last four leading teams at Wise, with many learnings about managing and scaling product teams under explosive growth. A year later, in 2019, Álvaro begins his journey as VP of Engineering at Lookiero after a successful acquisition and merger between his last company TicketBis and Ebay. In 2020, Félix returns to Spain too as an Engineering Site Lead for EventBrite after three years in London leading high-performing teams, the last two in the tech giant Google.
Even though their careers and contexts are quite different, the three of them share an interest in educating about the Engineering Manager role. In 2019, Félix starts writing articles about it and finds in Keyvan and Álvaro two seasoned leaders to review and compliment his work. Due to the increasing interest in the role, in 2020 they decide to join forces and write the kind of practical guide on Engineering Management they wished to read when they started their careers as technical leaders.
