About the Book
My Purpose in writing this Book “Songbook Volume 1” is to Make Available my Original Compositions to Musicians and Music Students all around the World Who are willing to Explore New Interesting Melodies Apart from the old Standards and Tunes they are used to. I also want to use this Book as Encouragement to Upcoming Musicians all over the World and Especially my Continent AFRICA .I want all upcoming musicians to Open their Creative mind and Start Writing their Own Original Compositions as early as Possible in their Career as soon as they’ve Acquired that Musical Foundation in their Respective Musical Field.
About the Author
SYLVESTER AKLAMAVO is of both Nigeria and Republic Of Benin Background. He left the University of Ibadan as a Geology Sophomore to pursuit a Career in Music. He studied under Music Professors and further equipped himself with other private guitar tutors, guitar instructional Books and Videos. He also acquired some affiliated online certificates in Jazz improvisation and music business from Berklee College of music. He has worked professionally in virtually all styles of Music in His career; from Juju and Fuji music, High-life, Maskandi, Reggae, Gospel, Funk, Jazz and Rock and has also shared the stage and performed with great artists like: Bob James, Salif keita, Femi kuti, Alvin Slaughter, Israel Houghton, Abraham Laboriel, Harvey Mason, King Sunny Ade, Lionel Loueke, Sadao Watanabe, Gerald Albright and Jimmy Dludlu to name a few.
